What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

Large orange glowing ball, maybe helicopter size. No sound at all. A cone of red ringed light came from it and moved around. It was moving fast and flew out of sight within about 30 seconds it was a constant speed.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

The cone of red light was not there to start with and went off again as it passed overhead.
