Sighting Details

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

Dozens of bright orange round objects passing over my area from midnight for 35 mins,but at approxamately 0020hrs one of the said objects came in the direction of my home, and as it was almost overhead I could see that it was cigar shaped with orange and green lights, suddenly with a red flash it split into three parts, and I can't be sure if it just suddenly disappeared or shot over the top of the house. My grandaughter was with me when this happened.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

These objects seemed to be going in one direction, from right to left over the estate in front of the homes in front of me apart from the one which seemed to break away and come in our direction.

I saw one object to begin with but as more and more appeared I woke my grandaughter up so that she could verify what I was seeing.the whole sighting lasted 40mins.
