What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

red lights taking off from ground level and moving from the west to south east

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

they just went up at an angle but quite fast

Any additional comments :

at one time there were mutiple lights like aircraft in a holding pattern. They were taking off in formation and then over time they were becoming less.
