Any additional comments :

I was out in my back garden having a coffee and a cigarette. It's a relatively clear morning with stars visible through broken cloud. To the north west, low above the houses but clearly far off, a bright light appeared. I'm a bit of a sad git, and like to watch for passing satellites, so I'm familiar with what should be in the night sky and this thing was different. Anyhoo, it passed behind some low cloud and you could see it radiate and light up the entire cloud. After watching it and pondering that it must be some helicopter, despite being completely silent, it suddenly changed colour from white to red. It looked like a fog light on a car. A very intense red. It then emerged from behind the cloud and it seemed to be pulsing or sweeping, like that gay car from knightrider used to do, or a cylon. after about 15 secs it changed to blue briefly and then it just vanished. I didn't see it vanish. It was as though the lights were turned off. I watched the point in the sky for a while but it was gone.
