What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

I had two round shaped orange balls of light hover horizontally towards me about 30 feet from me at low rooftop height. No sound at all.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

They seemed to move towards me in a very strange way as if they were (how can I explain) floating on an oily surface. The kept a distance between each other of about six feet and that distance did not change for about 20 seconds of the sighting. When they got about 10 feet from me one just disappeared and the other turned right flew off towards the clouds and was up in the clouds in about three seconds. I was watching them through my kitchen window which faces towards my back garden. It was a moonlight night.
