What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

4 Objects pink/red in colour. Looked like an airplane would be at night when moving in the sky.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

There were 4 objects that to me looked in a formation. There were 3 at the front in a triangle formation and 1 a short distance behind.

I just saw this by chance. I looked out of our skylight window in our loft when I saw the formation rising above the horizon. It was strange because there was no sound, I thought it looked like a formation of military planes but it was approx 22:30 at night so maybe unlikely. The four pink/red lights moved at a speed just like a jet at high altitude by observing from the ground. They just seemed to slowly fade as they were moving towards my house, just like dimming a light indoors by a dimmer switch. The rear object faded 1st, then 1 in the triangle formation. The 2 left just faded from view as I was looking at them.
