looked like a long dark object with green blinking lights

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

it was the wife that saw it first she then called me and i saw it it was hovering but it made no noise one minute it was there the next it had gone

never seen anything like it before really scared wife was scared to go out in the garden(saw object through kitchen window) did not report to police because probly think we are seeing things or nuts
