Sighting Details

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

No CRAFT visible, only lights, which were red and it was making a very strange noise

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

The UFO was making a strange sound the whole time it was visible, which made my house shake. It seemed to be searching for something, moving to and fro but no search lights or whatever. It moved suddenly out to sea backwards, then back to shore again, then all of a sudden, it just got really quiet and it disappeared into nothing.

Any additional comments :

My partner also witnessed this but thought it was more like a distressed helicopter but the movements and behaviour was too erratic and it didn't move like one. Also the sound was unlike one too.
