Sighting Details

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

One larger Orange coloured light with one much smaller one slightly below on the right and a similar one on the left. The night sky to the north was black and clear and the rising moon to the east was not yet illuminating. It subtends approx three fingers above the dark row of houses to the north of our back garden.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

In my view it was perfectly stationary. Any aircraft or helicopter would be moving and because we live in a quiet village we would have heard some sound - but it was silent and stationary. Both my wife and I saw it and had never seen anything like it before we watched it for several minutes and then went indoors briefly. When we returned the lights had gone. Unfortunately we did not witness its departure.

Any additional comments :

It could not have been an early firework for it lasted too long. Any aircraft to/from Exeter airport would definately be moving. Our eyes did not deceive us - it was slightly scary!
