Sighting Details

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

glowing red lights flying in triangluar formation

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

they were moving east to west towards me no noise then one of them seemed to move closer to another one then slowly they all disappeared then as i walked south i saw more red lights appear in groups of 2 sometimes 3

being after midnight on my way home from work it was the first time i have seen anything like this and i have ridden my bike home for over 14 months using the same route i just wondered if anyone else might have seen or could explain it.
