What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

Oval shaped, bright silver, metallic looking

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

It moved in quick darting spurts across the sky in one hundred metre bursts, stopped and changed direction a few times, back and forwards and then moved out of sight in an instant.

Any additional comments :

I was travelling to work in my car when I saw the object. It was its surface that struck me, bright silver and metallic, reflecting the light from the sun off its surface. The sky was completely cloudless and the object was the only visible thing in the sky.
