What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :
It was a large arch shape. It was dark at the time so all we could see was lights...almost the shape and size a rainbow would take across the sky, except it was made up of about 6 or 7 orange lights. Placed at equal distance apart, forming 1/2 a rainbow in the sky.
It appeared still....My friend who was driving spotted it. I thought it was lights on a bridge. Until we started approaching a bridge and i realised how high in the sky the lights must be. It was immediatly clear the formation of lights could not belong to an aeroplane or helicopter as the lights were covering such a vast area. I thought perhaps it was a reflection on the windscreen....there was salt and marks on the car window and i thought the orange lights of the dashboard were reflecting of the screen. I opened the window next to me so i could be sure of what i was seeing. There was no glass between my eyes and the sky...the lights were there clearly. 3 of the girls in the back thought we were messing about or just seeing something normal...we were trying to work it out ourselves so they just carried on their chat. Lucy was watching the road while we travelled along as she was driving...it stayed still....we passed underneath it. I thought it was helicopters practising some kind of 'show' or something...but none of the lights were blinking and the spaces between each light appeared exact.

We aren't weirdos :0) or on drugs, we were not drunk .... it was very strange. I thought i'd report it.
