Object giving off orange light

Slient, moving across the sky, then remained stationary, before moving off into cloud cover

Any additional comments :

Was after dark, mostly clear sky with some visable clouds. No wind and calm. Object observed moving horizontally across the sky. Was able to observe with binoculars, but unable to determin what it was other than giving off orange glow. No other lights on it observed. No sound could be heard, even though the surrounding area is quiet and calm weather. Object stoped and remained in one spot in the sky (or was moving towards or away from us ,thus appearing stationary) for a while then moved off and disapeared in to cloud
