Sighting Details

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

Bight orange/yellow oval shaped bright objects. Shining from inside with consistent light. They came from different directions on the horizon. Eventually there were about 30 in number and headed off in a southerly direction. Some joined up and flew in formation. There was no engine noise/navigation lights or sound or vapour trail.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

One appeared to stop completely before moving off with the others. All were travelling faster than a light aircraft i.e.about the speed of a private jet but silent and with none of the features of normal aircraft

Any additional comments :

Because it was New Years Eve we assumed this was something to do with fireworks but they were acting independently of everything else did not come from just one source.
