Sighting Details

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

Orange glow 500-1000 ft in the air, appeared from over Winter Hill and moved across Darwen on on toward the East Pennines. At first I thought it was a firework or ships parachute flare rising into the sky but then realised it was flying horizontally. By the time I realised this I assumed it was a plane or helicopter and expected to hear engine noise as it approached me. It flew directly over my head, totally soundlessly. I took a picture of it as it flew into the distance

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :
