What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

A doughnut, orange-coloured.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

It floated in the air like a ship on a rough sea, tilting and spinning slowly showing lights at the top, which was strange as it appeared to be a doughnut from underneath. It didn't travel fast but wasn't 'wandering'
