What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

It was a large bright orange flickering ball shaped light, my first thought was that it was a plane on fire.It was a clear night, it moved at a constant speed but was completely silent both myself and my wife watched it cross the fields in front of us and then just disappear

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

no just constant speed
