What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

high in the sky, the size of a 10p coin, a very orange (like something was on fire) ball, with a tube of white light surrounding it that was moving around the ball vertically horizontally and diagonally. and making no sound at all.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

no, just moved very quickly and silently across the sky.
