Sighting Details

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

Round about the size of a large football. Red and orange as though on fire. Not very high in the sky, in fact very much lower than the flight path of aircraft coming into Gatwiick and Heathrow.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

Looking out to see it came in at 11 o'clock towards me and then turned and went out to sea and disappeared. Two months ago (approx) I had seen a similar object coming towards me from the opposite direction,. and then disappearing
