Sighting Details

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

approx 10 miles away, a small orangy/yellow light like the burner of a rocket

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

..it rose extrmely quickly vertically for about 5 seconds and then continued to climb at a slight angle for approx 5mins before disapearing too high to see. Very similar to a rocket launch but without any trail

I thought it was a jet coming towards me first with its lights facing me until I realised it was actually going vertically and not level
