What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

I'm on 5th floor of apartment block. About 30 miles away are the pennine hills, I looked out the window and saw a white saucer/cigar shaped object moving across the clouds. Object was some distance away, while white still visable against white/grey clouds.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

no constant movement, from the distance of the object I would say it was moving over 100mph.
