It was long, thin and pencil shaped and was made out of some dull metal that didnt reflect any light

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

it flew straight across the sky at high speed and dissapeared over the horizon.

it wasnt a human space ship because it was flying too low
