What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to
terrestrial objects/lights/colour :
It was a glowing ball-like shape, orange - bright orange in colour, but with a partial halo of yellow at the lower left quadrant. It was nothing like the acid colours of fireworks, not like the sulphurous yellow of a streetlamp. It is very hard to give a size, but it was about 3mm across, but way in the distance halfway up the horizon. It was a single light, had no flashing lights like helicopters or planes, and not like the headlights on a plane either. It was definitely nothing like the planes or the copters we get frequently around here, and it did not twinkle or pulse - it was very steady. There were some fireworks still going off, so I watched it for quite a while, waiting for it to explode as it came towrds my direction, but it did not, and then it began to behave in a most singular manner. I was expecting it to be a flare or a piece of burning debris, but it couldn't have been. The light was too steady.
Did the UFO do any
strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :
I saw it above the silhouette of a tree in a nearby garden. It came towards where I was standing - it got larger, but its trajectory seemed to be constant and not curved. It appeared to be coming straight forward, gaining height fractionally, as though the trajectory was both straight towards where I was standing and at the same time climbing gently. the light remained very constant - I was watching for the split from a parallax effect as it got nearer, expecting the twin headlights of a plane - but it remained one, single bright orange glow with this yellow partial-halo effect - which appeared to radiate very slightly as it drew nearer, but I put this down to my staring at it and my eyes watering a little, although they did not feel to
