Sighting Details

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

Steady red light in dark sky. When viewed through binocluars it appeared to have a pink umbra above it as though lighting the underside of a balloon. Was moving steadily almost due east on an alignment a little to north of my viewpoint. Also seen by my wife. Viewed for perhaps 2 minutes until it disappeared behind cloud which obscured the view down to eastern horizon. Observed from house window which looks due east with view right over the head of Morecambe Bay
