What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

filckering orange and white round shape, it was in the sky for a while hardly moving then dissapeared outwards

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

moved very very slowly then went straight out.

Any additional comments :

five of us saw it, it was in the sky for a while, long enough for me to get my camera and get some footage, it then went out into the sky, it was very far away so footage not great but it was just after midnight and we were listening to people bring in the new year when we saw it. I was not drinking as I and my daughter are ill. To our amazment it returned about 5 mins later but only for a short period of time. None of us could explain what it was.
