About 50ft long, thin and cylindrical

Hover, turn round, move from side to side then disappeared

Any additional comments :

At first we thought it was a banner being pulled by an plane or a stray balloon but there was no plane in sight. We watched it move across the sky turning over and round. There was a clear sky, no clouds, no wind, very sunny day. The object just disappeared into thin air. There were no other aircraft around.
